Visual Design

Your author website should be unique like you and stand out to reflect you and your work in the best way possible.

You choose colors and imagery as we go through and I go to work conveying your ideas into creation.

All work is custom with no extra charges for revisions.

Within the visual layout we’ll keep your audience in mind, and put to use my marketing experience so that your site isn’t just pretty – but functions for easy sales and branding.

*Note – There are lots of site add-ons – I always recommend free ones – but some have upgrade options – that is entirely up to you later on if you decide.

Content & Layout

You’ll choose your layout and the functions that you want and need to have a smooth running website.

You tell me your needs and we set everything up based on what you want to do. 

Do you want to sell directly from your site? Link to Amazon? Display your Twitter feed?

Content writing – you may be the best writer out there – but writing about yourself and your own work is often difficult. 🙂

I’ll help you write good marketing copy that doesn’t sound spammy or bypass your message, and we’ll sprinkle in a good dose of SEO.

Domain & Hosting

Your website will be setup on a domain and hosting account.

You may purchase your own domain and hosting, or I can do that for you.

Domain registrations are yearly through the registrar of your choice, such as GoDaddy, and hosting is paid either monthly or yearly.

If you’d like me to maintain and host your website – it’s a $25 monthly fee or $250 per year.

You’ll receive regular updates, backups, and maintenance of your website. Plus, if you break anything – all you need to do is let me know and I’ll fix it.

You’re responsible for your yearly domain registration – about $20 per year, which can be paid several years in advance.
