  • Ian Schoolboy Garrett One More Round Boxing Book

One More Round by Ian Schoolboy Garrett Everybody faces hardships in life, some of us more than others – this man here was dealt some heavy cards at an early age when he tragically lost his mother, and then his own father didn’t want him. Ian went to stay with his grandmother until God brought Ian to the great Jack Leonard – who ran the PAL boxing club in Winter Haven, FL. Leonard had been in witness protection for decades outside the country after taking a stand against gambling rackets in boxing. He had come back to the states when he’d had enough of witness protection life. And that’s when young Ian came along. Through Jack Leonard and boxing training, Ian gained a father, a life, and a career. That is, before the next crushing blow which took Ian’s boxing career. One More Round takes us through Ian’s early start with tragedy and into his adoption by Jack Leonard who trained him in his champion boxing career. Included are photos and news stories from Ian’s boxing matches which show his rising career towards being the next world champion boxer. Unfortunately, life had different plans and Ian was caught up in a chaos of injustice.  This book is a short read that is thoroughly inspiring and motivating. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Ian’s success. Now, through his life story, Ian is on a mission to be a positive influence on his friends, his family, community, and the world. • Funny crime thriller - Fool Me Twice by Spencer Lane Adams

Fool Me Twice by Spencer Lane Adams When I first got this book to read I couldn’t put it down. From the start I was both laughing and crying.  I was hit. Spencer Lane Adams completely blew me away with his writing. When I finished the book, I said, wow – this is the BEST book I have ever read! I’ve never laughed so hard! Fool Me Twice starts off with Paddy about to rob a bank, and he gets involved with a crazy Uber driver named Mac. Now, Mac is that character kind of like John Candy for those of us older folks, and heโ€™s funny! The book takes us through a series of misadventures between Paddy and Mac which include thieves, mafia, a sweet old lady, a kid, cops, and a psychotic parole officer.  At every turn the universe seems hellbent on sending Paddy back to prison.  I highly recommend it if you like good-hearted criminals, action, humor, bank heists, pulling one over on the man, and the kind of humor and situations you’d find in Bruce Willis or Mel Gibson movies like RED, Die Hard, and Lethal Weapon movies. Like those movies, there’s some swearing and inappropriate content. Plus, there’s some political jabs at both the right and left wings where we get some insight into what a joke the “justice” system really is.  Spencer’s Website   Spencer Lane Adams Fool Me Twice Spencer is also an ongoing contributor to Writer’s Art and his posts can be found on our Blog.
